Regina J. Platt, age 76, of Potter Avenue, North Merrick died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Winthrop University Hospital of Mineola, NY. Mrs. Platt was born August 18, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Joseph J and the late Regina (Greegan) Hegenbart.
She was a teacher at Sacred Heart School in North Merrick
She is survived by one son: Thomas J. Platt of North East , MD; Sister of two brothers: Joseph J. Hegenbart and John Hegenbart,; Also survived by her many loving Nieces, Nephews and cousins
A Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:45 am on Thursday, January 5 at Sacred Heart R. C. Church, 720 North Merrick Avenue, North Merrick, NY with Rev Joseph Nixon officiating.
A luncheon will be offered in the School, Sacred Heart School, next to the chuch following the mass. All are welcome.
Graveside services will be PRIVATE in Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, East Hampton, NY.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 4 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY.
Donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society appreciated.
