My sincere condolences to Cathy's family. I am so sorry that I am just finding out about this. My heart is broken. Cathy and I worked together at Willkie Farr & Gallagher and kept in touch after she left. I miss her laugh. She was one of the most cheerful people I have ever met even when she was down. All I ever wanted to do was make her as cheerful as she made me.

I met Cathy in high school and we became friends. She was by far the kindest and nicest person I knew. She became a young mom and always put her kids first, they were her world. God has a special place in his kingdom for you Cat. Words can't describe what we are feeling. This isn't how it was supposed to turn out but I guess God had other plans. I know you are resting in paradise now and that gives me some comfort. Such an honor to not only work with you but for all the memories we shared outside of the office. My beautiful Peanut, there are no words to describe our loss. We will take comfort knowing you are at peace and the heavens are enriched by your presence.
Cathy was always special to our family, she was the runt or the Peanut as she was lovingly called. She was always smiling even when times were hard and as a mom raising 5 kids, times were hard often. She gave freely of herself to all that knew her. She was one of those rare people that would give you the shirt off of her back. Cathy loved her kids and she was like a lioness in the way she safeguarded them. She was a wonderful aunt who loved her nieces and nephews. She was a terrific daughter who made our parents proud. She was our sister, our Peanut.
The world is a big and sometimes unfriendly place but she would bring a smile into a situation that would melt the hardest heart. She was loved by many and she felt the same for them. Heaven gained a beautiful angel. Until we meet again, Peanut, I love you and I know I will miss you every day.
