James (Jim) G. Banakus posted a condolence

My cousin Ray Trusz just sent me an email of the passing of my Aunt Rose. I would like to add my condolences as well to the members of her family. I know she will be missed! My father Adam, Uncle Walter's brother died in 1961. As a kid growing up I remember Banakus family gatherings at various locations & homes in NYC. I went in the service in 1957 & got out in 1961 and left NY to head back to CA after getting married in 1965. That was 1968! My brother Richard & I never were really involved with either family side, one being Polish the other Italian. Not because of us but because of our parents. My closest Banakus relatives probably were Uncle Anthony & Aunt Helen. I live in Solvang, CA a small Danish tourist town on the central CA coast. In May I will be 75 but still ride motorcycles, like I did in NYC & for the past several years trail horses. I am a member of the Mission Santa Ines Men's Club & will put her name in the Mission prayerbook for all the Masses. May Aunt Rose RIP!
