Edward G. Tis, age 93, of Uniondale, NY died Saturday, November 8, 2014 at home in Uniondale. Mr. Tis was born in 1921 in New York City, NY. He is the son of the late Arthur and the late Ida (Luce) Tis. He married Ann Nancy Donoghue by who he is predeceased.
He served in the Army during World War II from 16DEC44 to 9JAN46. He was employed by ESR Printing, Farmingdale NY as a Lithographer.
He is survived by one daughter: Leslie H. Tis of Uniondale, NY and one son: Robert Tis of Florida.
The funeral will be held 7:45 pm on Wednesday, November 12 at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY with Rev. Paul Driscoll officiating. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Thursday, November 13 at 12:00 pm.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 12 from 2-5 & 7-9PM at N. F. Walker, Inc., 2039 Merrick Avenue, Merrick, NY.
