He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran.
Visiting at N. F. Walker, Inc. - Merrick Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Ave. Merrick Sunday July 6 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church 720 N. Merrick Ave, North Merrick on Monday at 9:45am.
Interment at Calverton national Cemetery, Calverton NY.
