Obituary of Lesley A. Denninger

Lesley Ann Denninger of Merrick, NY passed away on Sept. 28, 2024 in Mineola, NY. Lesley was born in Manhattan, NY on October 3, 1948 to Alastair and Lillian MacLennan (Dietsche). She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1965 and went on to graduate from Wagner College with a degree in Psychology in 1969. Lesley was married to Richard Denninger and they moved to Merrick. She was a devoted mother to Andrew and also worked as a sales representative for greeting card manufacturers for over 35 years. Lesley had a passion for helping others and was very involved in charitable work at St. Andrew's Society. She was also a member of the Caledonian Club and served as Treasurer for the National Tartan Day Committee. Lesley is survived by her son, Andrew, daughter-in-law Lorraine, siblings; Alastair, John (Kelly) and Diane (Robert), grandchildren; Megan, Kristi, and Ryan, great- grandchildren; Ciana and Joseph, and nieces and nephews; Alastair, Jamie, Heather, Jacqui, Joseph, Taylor, Karoline, Kristen and Joseph. Visiting at N.F. Walker, Inc. – Merrick Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Ave. Merrick on Wednesday October 2, 2024 from 4 to 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church-1 Van Roo Ave, Merrick, NY 11566 on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 10am.
