A very kind and generous man. I remember the stories my mom (Uncle Mario`s oldest sister) would tell us of how her brother would help provide for our family when my dad took sick and was unable to work back in the early 1950`s. I especially remember the winter jackets Uncle Mario bought for my brother and i. The last of the Martino greatest generation is gone, we will never forget them.
May you rest in eternal peace forever.

I met Mario at the wedding of his daughter, Rosemary Martino. He looked so proud as he walked his daughter down the aisle and as he passed my pew he said, "I'm 102'! That memory was topped by watching Mario and his daughter dance the 'father/daughter" dance that evening., What a wonderful memory of such a joyous day!

Mario,
Was an amazing roommate and pal for my dad at Meadowbrook. My dad would call me and tell me all about his 104 year old friend. I had the privilege of meeting Mario myself this past year. He was so sharp and witty. We had a great conversation and he went on about his kids and when he heard I lived in Florida he told me about his son who was visiting Florida and his daughter who lived not too far away from me. I was so impressed with his level of detail. His vigor and spirit was so infectious that he even got my dad to say for the first time ever that he would like to live a long life and see 104 too. Remembering the times we spent co-ushering at Cure followed by our families having refreshments at Dunkin. Mario having a Coffee Roll and Rosemary a Jelly Donut.
