Jim was a wonderful friend to me, as was his beautiful wife, Jean, for many, many years. I always thought that they were such an ideal couple, and I truly loved and admired them. If it wasn’t for Jim I probably would not have known about how perfect living at The Knolls would be for me, and I am grateful to him every day for that. At The Knolls his apartment was across the parking lot from me and we always tried to get together for a bit – to share some laughs, memories, and tears – sometimes over small glasses of wine, or even over dinner. If we couldn’t do that, we’d check up on each other via phone calls. It was always a total pleasure talking with Jim – he knew so much about so many subjects – he was as intelligent as he was funny and charming. And he always made me feel better about things going on in my life, sharing his wisdom and optimism. I know how very blessed I have been to have had Jim as my friend, and I will forever think fondly of him and his whole family. My children thought the world of Jim and Jean too, and they will always remember both of them with much love. God bless you Jim.
