Obituary of Rosetta Lynch

Rosetta Lynch ("Ettie") passed away peacefully in her home in Merrick, NY, on October 17, 2023. She was 93 years old. Ettie was born on April 16, 1940, the sixth of eight children to James and Brigid O'Rourke in County Cavan, Ireland. At the age of eighteen, Ettie immigrated to the United States. Ettie married Farrell Lynch at the Church of the Holy Spirit in the Bronx, NY in November,1959. They resided in Merrick and raised five children. Ettie was active in her church community of Cure of Ars. Her generosity, work ethic, and profound faith were an inspiration to her family members, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Ettie was the wife of the late Farrell Lynch and is survived by: her children Ellen and husband Mark Miszkiewicz, Kieran and wife Vicki, and Brian and his wife Kim; her daughter-in-laws Eileen Lynch and Lori Lynch Helmer; her grandchildren Katie, Meghan and Annie; Emma. Mary Catherine, Lizzy and Nancy; Mary Rose, Grace and Sean; Kathleen and Maggie; and her great grandchild Eamon. She was predeceased by her sons, Farrell and Sean. Visitation Saturday 9:00am at Cure of ARS R.C. Church, 2323 Merrick Avenue, Merrick. Funeral Mass after visitation at 10:00am. Interment at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury.
