My Uncle Mossie was a big man with a big personality. When he entered a room everyone knew it. He was witty, humourous, and a great story teller. But mostly he was generous and caring. He wanted the best for everyone. He'd send me letters with job notices all the time. When his sister Mary, my mom, was sick with cancer he'd stop by the house every week. My mom was so happy to see him. When I was young our family would stay at his Hamptons house for a couple weeks each summer, a slight inconvenience for a single guy I imagine, Uncle Mossie really loved his family.
Rest in peace Uncle Mossie.

My Uncle and Godfather was a man of action. He loved his mother and father and sisters very much. When I was a child he took me to Yankee and Mets games, Army/Navy games, and water skiing with friends in upstate NY. He always attended my football games, bought my brothers and I golf club sets so we could enjoy golf with him. When I stayed at my grandparents house I couldn’t wait for him to come home from work to spend time together. He always portrayed himself with a tough exterior but meanwhile he was all gooey inside. He was always at my parents house for Sunday dinners because of his close relationship with my mother, Theresa.
One summer he showed up with a picnic table strapped to his car because at the time my parents didn’t have one.
He wanted me to see him in action in court as a judge… I thought he was a very fair man who tried to do the right and lawful thing always.
There are so many things he did for my family when we were children that I will probably never even know.
He had such a big part in my early childhood years…he was like a second father to me. He always supported his parents in every way possible and cherished his sisters and cared very much what they thought of him. He helped support his sister… my Aunt Peggy, with the care she needed due to her illness over the course of many years.
I shall miss him always and never forget all his loving kindness.
