Loved my Aunt Evelyn, as she was my mom, Barbara Smalleys High School Best Friend and we always called her our Aunt. Evelyn was a kind, upbeat, fun-loving, joyful woman! Most of my memories date back to when she and her granddaughter Nicole, my best childhood friend, and I would make wonderful arts and crafts ornaments for our Christmas trees. She was always smiling, laughing, beaming. At Nicole’s wedding, she was glowing and so present, loving life and celebrating her granddaughter’s very special day. She will be missed, but always loved and remembered.

Evelyn was my cousin. She was the kindest, loving, creative person I have ever met. Evelyn taught me to sew, for that I have always been grateful. From when I was a child I spent weekends and summers with her and her daughters. Some of the best times in my life.
I will love her and miss her always.
