Beloved father of Kathleen, James, Daniel and Eileen; "My Angel", Carole; grandfather of Michael, Marissa, Joseph, Erin, Rachel, Brian, Michael Patrick and Courtney; great grandfather of Ariel, Sydney and Liam.
Loving son of the late Grover Cleveland Mugford and Anna (nee Banks).
A WWII Army Veteran.
Retired from NYC Fire Department, Engine Company 239 Brooklyn.
Volunteer member of North Merrick Fire Dept. for 25 years and Wells Bridge Fire Dept. for 20 years.
Visiting at N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home 2039 Merrick Ave. Merrick (www.nfwalkerfh.com) Thursday Nov. 17 from 5 to 9pm. N. Merrick Fire Dept. Service at 8pm. Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church 720 N. Merrick Ave. N. Merrick Friday the 18th at 9:45am.
Interment of ashes in The Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn NY.
